Interested in having us develop some highly performing web
copy? Here's a few words from our head writer that explains the process:
As a direct response copywriter, what I do best is help
clients define their brilliance, what makes them different and sets them apart in the marketplace. In my
process, we work on defining your USP (Unique Selling Proposition), focus on finding your niche, identifying
your ideal client, and creating your offer. My specialty is creating language that attracts your ideal clients
and compels them to take action.
What I too often see is people not quite connecting their
unique talents with their business message. Most folks fall into one or more of these categories:
-
One group needs
some extra help to discover what makes them unique, what special gifts they bring to the
table.
-
The second group
already has a good idea - or knows for sure - what makes them special, but they're not always able
to find the right words to describe it.
-
Another group is
in the process of reframing and revamping their business and needs help “transferring” their
brilliance to the new endeavor.
In my mind, there
is nothing more important than the home page, because if you don’t capture your visitors there, they’ll
leave. We use my proprietary five-step process that helps us discover their brilliance, determine the
goals for the home page, identify the target market, and come up with an “offer” for the main page.
I think many
small business owners are still falling into the trap of thinking that they can use existing verbiage they
may have done for a printed brochure and just moving it wholesale to the web and it just doesn’t work. And
even people who are good writers are not necessarily good at writing words and structuring content in a way
that causes people to take action. In the beginning days of the web, it was okay to have just plain good
writing, but those days are gone! Competition is much greater these days and people will click away from
your site if you don’t entice them to stay.
