To register a new domain and new account with EcommToday.com:

Navigate to www.ecommtoday.com

Choose Domains-->Register Domains and you will see the following screen:

Try a domain name you would like to use.  Do not key "www" and we recommend you always try for a .com name.  You will receive the following screen:

At the top you will be told whether or not your chosen name is available.  If it is, you can click the red Continnue.  If no, you can search for another name from this screen.  When you find one, click the red Continue button, at which time you will be directed to the following page to enter your domain registration info:

On the domains line (1), you can choose the number of years to register for.  The longer domain registration period gives your site credibility and is said to affect search engine ranking to a minor degree.  Unless you have a specific need, choose the defaults of Public, Auto Renewel, Uncertified and do not add email at this time.  You will receive basic email for free as part of your hosting account.

(2) Most of the time you should choose Standard.

(3) If you would like to add your hosting account now, select the "Show me exclusive offers..." button.  If you only want to do the domain, choose the "Quick Checkout" option.

Now you will key in the name and address for your domain. 

 Key in the neccessary info for domain registration.  If you have a PO Box or a stealth address and phone #, you may want to use it here as your Domain Registration information will be made publically available unless you selected private registration on the previous screen.  If you did, then this domain registration information info will be kept confidential.

Next you will review your shopping cart.  If you selected hosting, your page may look slightly different than the one below.

 The only steps here are to indicate your method of payment and read and check both Domain Registration Agreement and TOS and click Checkout Now.

Now you will create your account.  The fields will be filled in from your domain registration.  You can change them if you like.  This information is stored in our customer database and is secure and confidential.  Please enter your primary email address and phone number.

Click Continue with checkout.

The final screen confirms all your information, the amount to be charged and asks for your credit card information.  This information is stored encrypted on a secure server for your security.  Your credit card information will never be displayed either on screen or to our customer service center representatives, only the last 4 digits to identify the card or for verifying you when you call in.

That it!  You're done.  Please make a note of your Account # and password as you will need it to access your account in the future.
